What you’ll do:
Based in Brisbane, join Santos as a Lead Shutdown Planner/Scheduler and play a key role in planning and delivering major shutdown events across our Midstream and Energy Solutions assets.
Lead integrated shutdown planning and scheduling, working closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement and contractors to deliver safe, efficient and execution-ready shutdowns.
Key responsibilities:
- Translate maintenance strategies, MOC, equipment history and engineering requirements into structured job plans, task lists and work methodologies within SAP
- Define and manage shutdown scope from initial identification through to final work pack issue & execution close out
- Develop and maintain integrated shutdown schedules using Primavera P6, managing multi-discipline, multi-phase activities
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and scope challenge sessions with multi-disciplinary teams
- Coordinate procurement, materials and pre-fabrication requirements
- Integrate cost and progress data between SAP PM and Primavera P6
- Liaise with key stakeholders including engineering, procurement, vendors, operations and maintenance
- Champion Santos' 'Always Safe' culture and ensure compliance with HSE standards, permits, SIMOPS and fatigue management
What you'll bring:
- 7+ years’ shutdown/turnaround planning and scheduling experience, ideally in oil & gas, energy or heavy industry.
- Experience delivering major or Tier 3/4 shutdowns.
- Advanced Primavera P6 and SAP PM/CMMS experience.
- Strong understanding of shutdown sequencing, critical path analysis and work management.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including Excel, Power BI and/or SharePoint.
- Experience with cost/progress integration between SAP and P6.
- Trade, Engineering or Project Controls qualification (Certificate IV minimum).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Primavera P6 certification and Monte Carlo/risk analysis experience will be highly regarded.
