Routine Maintenance Planner/Senior Routine Maintenance Planner - Electrical OVERVIEW Marathon Petroleum Company’s Illinois Refining Division in Robinson, IL is seeking a Routine Maintenance Planner. The Routine Maintenance Planner will report to the Planning Manager and will be responsible for planning electrical work packages, developing detailed work scopes, preparing cost and man-hour estimates, requisitioning materials & contributing to maintenance productivity by ensuring maintenance work is planned safely, efficiently, and effectively. Relocation is approved for this position. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for reviewing and processing work notifications into work orders ensuring proper authorization, priority, completeness, accuracy and determines craft skills needed, sequence of work to be performed and estimates man hours, material, tools, and equipment needed. Develops detailed work packages, procures materials, allocates resources and rental equipment needed for the job. Facilitates planning deliverables for work practices (i.e., RSP-1400). Leads backlog reviews and collaborate with Area Team on priority and accuracy. Ensures Quality Control requirements are included in work planning. Ensures proper expense class allocation consistent with the Cost Consistency practice. Collaborates with Project Controls for proper cost forecasting and budget compliance. Collaborates with Area Teams on KPI reviews and improvement ideas. Ensures Safety, PSM, and Environmental compliance dates are met. Supports PSM processes such as MOC and incident investigations. Plans and coordinates the development of work orders with operating unit leadership for facilities in assigned area. Consults engineers prior to any field changes in design, or specifications and requests changes in procedure to complete work. Inspects completed work and ensures closeout processes are followed. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Prioritize and plan work as required per refinery needs, including repairs of motors, electrical distribution, electric tracing, and other refinery electrical equipment. Develop electrical switching procedures and assist with overhead and below grade electrical analyses. Perform walk downs on all jobs to ensure plan accuracy, which includes climbing stairs and ladders to reach refinery equipment at heights. Collaborate with Supply Chain (Global Procurement and Warehouse) and vendors to obtain necessary materials for scope execution. Contact and schedule outside resources when necessary for execution of work. Train backfills as necessary to perform planning duties during absences. Travel requirement: up to 10% EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum (Required) Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Two (2) years or more of relevant experience Valid driver’s license Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications Five (5) or more years of experience in a refinery electrical maintenance or refinery engineering role Experience with CMMS (SAP) system Experience planning maintenance activities and creating job plans Scheduling experience Experience with refinery equipment codes & standards Experience with refinery electrical equipment (electrical distribution, motors, electric tracing, etc.) Working knowledge of electrical infrastructure inspection and maintenance for commercial and industrial applications Working knowledge of NFPA-70 & 70E Ability to plan electrical feeder outages Skills Microsoft Office suite Organization Excellent written and verbal skills Excellent problem-solving skills PAY AND BENEFITS Retirement: 401k with a company match up to 7% Pension: Company funded pension plan up to 11% Annual Bonus: Eligible for a company sponsored annual bonus Paid Parental Leave Educational Reimbursement For full benefits details visit mympcbenefits.com SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS This position works on a 4/10 schedule (M-Thu, 10 hours a day).
