JOB SUMMARY
The Production Scheduler supports manufacturing by developing, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules based on customer demand, material availability, capacity, and shipment requirements. Under the direction of the Manager, Production Planning, this position maintains accurate planning data, monitors schedule risks, and supports timely execution of production plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Prepares and updates daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, material availability, capacity, and shipment priorities.
• Maintains accurate planning data in enterprise resource planning (ERP) and manufacturing execution systems (MES), including work orders, bills of materials, and related planning reports.
• Monitors production schedules for risks, including material shortages, capacity constraints, expedited requests, and inventory issues, and escalates concerns as appropriate.
• Partners with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Operations to support schedule execution and on-time delivery.
• Tracks raw material, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory levels and communicates supply risks affecting production schedules.
• Monitors work order status, production progress, and related constraints, escalating issues as needed.
• Supports new product introduction schedules by tracking prototype and pilot build requirements.
• Maintains scheduling procedures, work instructions, and related planning documentation.
• Compiles manufacturing metrics, such as schedule adherence, throughput, labor utilization, and on-time delivery.
• Performs other duties or responsibilities assigned over the course of employment.

• Supports efficient use of materials and production resources through accurate scheduling and data maintenance.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree, plus 2+ years of manufacturing planning or scheduling experience; or
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, business administration,
or a related technical field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and system maintenance.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with production and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and adaptability in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) or manufacturing systems preferred; Epicor experience
desired.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
