The Production SchedulerProductionScheduler plays a critical role in coordinating, planning, and optimizing manufacturing workflows. This position is responsible for developing production schedules, managing job releases, and tracking progress to ensure on-time delivery and efficient operations.


This role works cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to balance priorities, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement within a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

   

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with operational goals and delivery timelines.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to actively manage and adjust production schedules as needed.
  • Monitor delivery issues and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
  • Analyze workflow data to identify bottlenecks and improve planning accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate data within Nieco’s MRP system.
  • Evaluate availability of finished goods and components to support production needs.
  • Investigate order and delivery discrepancies; resolve MRP-related issues and implement preventive actions.
  • Stay informed of current production workload, priorities, and manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare job packets, including work instructions, drawings, and checklists.
  • Track, collect, and close production jobs on a daily basis.
  • Maintain documentation, including scanning and organizing completed test reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, or a related technical field, OR 2+ years of relevant production planning/scheduling experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with production scheduling responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to balance both high-level planning and hands-on execution.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a positive, solutions-driven mindset.
  • Ability to influence and support teams in meeting production goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Syteline or other MRP/ERP systems preferred.
