The role at a glance

Onshore Malabo, 28/28 rotation. You'd own the IAP across EG Block B and produce the Life of Field, 6Q, 90 Day, and 28 Day versions of the plan, each at the right level of detail. You'd also deputize for the Planning Manager when the seat needs filling. That's a real chair, not a support stool.

What you'd own

• The full deliverable set: Gantt charts, network diagrams, S-curves, histograms, and manhour reports
• Plan attainment KPIs, change management, and activity prioritization, reported weekly with feedback that actually moves the process
• POB forecasting at every horizon, strategic down to 28 day
• Close liaison with cost, procurement, and the shutdown delivery team
• Coaching and mentoring the planners around you, because a lead who hoards knowledge isn't leading

Look at that last one. The role isn't just schedule mechanics. It's gatekeeping, stakeholder work across every Block B worksite, and developing a planning bench. The soft skills carry real weight here, and the posting says so out loud.

What it takes

Non-negotiables first. An HNC or equivalent, a planning and controls qualification, proven IAP implementation, and BOSIET certification. You'll need P6 or MS Project fluency, solid CMMS experience, and genuine offshore oil and gas background. Shutdown, project, or drilling planning experience seals it.
