Project Overview:
The project is a 1.3 GW simple-cycle power generation facility located in Millersport, Ohio, being constructed adjacent to a hyperscale data center campus. The facility includes multiple power generation technologies consisting of Solar Titan 130 gas turbines, Siemens SGT800 gas turbines, reciprocating engines, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and associated balance of plant infrastructure.
The scope includes major civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, underground utility, control systems, and commissioning works required to support phased energization and turnover of the facility. Construction will be executed through a combination of direct hire and subcontracted labor supported by modularization, pre-assembly, offsite warehousing, and advanced work packaging methodologies.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will direct project construction equipment operations and fleet management activities. Will be responsible for planning, acquisition, deployment, utilization, maintenance, inspection, compliance, and replacement of construction equipment required to support project execution. Ensure equipment resources are available, maintained, and utilized efficiently to support safe and productive construction operations.#LI-TH1
Major Responsibilities:
- Manage project-owned, rented, and leased construction equipment programs.
- Develop equipment utilization plans and equipment deployment strategies.
- Monitor equipment productivity, utilization, availability, and operating costs.
- Coordinate acquisition, mobilization, demobilization, and disposal of equipment assets.
- Oversee equipment inspection, maintenance, testing, and compliance programs.
- Support crane, lifting equipment, transportation, and specialty equipment planning.
- Coordinate equipment requirements with Construction, Logistics, Field Engineering, and Procurement organizations.
- Manage equipment vendors, rental providers, and maintenance contractors.
- Monitor equipment-related performance metrics and cost reports.
- Develop replacement and maintenance strategies to optimize fleet performance.
- Support investigations involving equipment failures, incidents, and operational issues.
- Ensure equipment records, certifications, inspections, and permits remain current.
- Promote safe operating practices and compliance with project procedures and regulatory requirements.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Equipment Management, Business Administration, or related discipline and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of construction equipment management, fleet management, maintenance, heavy equipment operations, or construction experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience supporting large industrial, infrastructure, mining, power generation, or EPC projects.
- Experience supervising maintenance and equipment operations personnel.
- Advanced knowledge of construction equipment operations and maintenance practices.
- Understanding of fleet management, equipment utilization, and lifecycle management principles.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment, cranes, transportation equipment, and specialty construction equipment.
- Strong analytical and cost management capabilities.
- Effective leadership and personnel management skills.
- Strong contractor and vendor management experience.
- Knowledge of equipment compliance, inspections, certifications, and safety requirements.
- Ability to optimize equipment performance, availability, and project support.
