Job Summary:
As a Distribution Planner, you will become the SME in a specific geographic area where you will be balancing the most cost-effective andâ¯customer-focusedâ¯schedule to meet both the company goals andâ¯customerâ¯needs. You willâ¯collaborateâ¯with supply chain teams internally to resolve any day-to-day issues to continuously supply ourâ¯customersâ¯in thisâ¯excitingâ¯24/7â¯environment, monitoring multiple systems throughout the day to provide world-classâ¯customerâ¯serviceâ¯to our valuedâ¯customers.

Principalâ¯Responsibilities:
•Promote Messer’s safety goals andâ¯fosterâ¯a positive teamâ¯environment
•Scheduleâ¯customerâ¯deliveries to avoidâ¯serviceâ¯interruptions at the lowest cost with the greatest utilization of assets and payloads
•Monitor alerts for changes inâ¯demandâ¯and adjust the delivery plan asâ¯neededâ¯to ensure continuous supply toâ¯customers
•Use proprietary software systems to accurately maintain data andâ¯determineâ¯forecastedâ¯customerâ¯demand
•Manageâ¯multiple tasks andâ¯adaptâ¯to changing priorities, identifying and resolvingâ¯customerâ¯and location issues
Requiredâ¯Skills:
•Prior transportation experience preferred
•Effective written and oralâ¯communication skills
•Goodâ¯critical thinkingâ¯and math skills
•Excellentâ¯customerâ¯serviceâ¯skills
•Capable of working efficiently with automated systems
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s Degree preferably in business, logistics or supply chain management OR 3+ years of transportation dispatch, scheduling/planning experience acceptable with HSD in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
